TKHC places a great emphasis on students’ social development. The implementation of the concept of Social Learning Space (SLS) is one of the key features of TKHC and the purpose is to promote positive social interaction and unstructured learning space. According to research, an unstructured learning space promotes students’ voice in constructing knowledge through unguided activities. Through SLS, students enjoy brain breaks and relationship building during recesses and after school.
In addition, students reinforce their social awareness through sports activities on the sports courts and rock climbing areas. These areas serve as structured learning spaces during P.E. lessons or school-team training which act as important social development platforms on campus.
