UNIVERSITY DESTINATIONS

At Tai Kwong Hillary College, our University Counselling Department is dedicated to supporting students as they prepare for their futures. Our team of experienced professionals offers career planning workshops and global university networking activities, providing personalised guidance throughout students’ senior years.

We empower students to navigate key stages of their academic journey, enhancing their university applications. This includes helping them make informed curriculum choices, excel in standardised testing, engage in extracurricular activities, and refine their application materials. Additionally, we raise awareness of career options and higher education pathways by leveraging our extensive network of resources. Our goal is to cultivate a proactive mindset, encouraging students to plan for their futures and achieve success thoughtfully.

Our Services

One-to-one support

TKHC University Counselling team guides school students in career planning and course selection for successful university entry worldwide. We offer personalised advice, preparation with application materials, and provide expert guidance on university requirements and application processes for students and parents.

Regular university counselling lessons in upper school curriculum

In the upper school curriculum at TKHC, regular university counselling lessons are an integral component designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful transitions to higher education.

These dedicated sessions provide a structured framework for exploring university options, understanding admission processes (both local and international), crafting compelling applications, and developing essential skills for university life. Through interactive activities, informative presentations, and personalized guidance, students are empowered to make informed decisions about their academic futures and confidently navigate the university application journey.

Career planning

At TKHC, we are committed to empowering our students to thoughtfully plan their futures. We regularly host talks, parent coffee mornings, and informative evening sessions designed to broaden their understanding of various career paths and opportunities. Our students actively engage with our comprehensive university and career counselling programme. This dedicated support system guides them in identifying their passions, defining their academic and professional goals, and charting clear directions for their university studies and future development.

University visits

TKHC actively facilitates connections between our students and the world of higher education. Throughout the academic year, TKHC welcomes representatives from a diverse range of universities and colleges, including those in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, continental Europe, Canada, Hong Kong, and the Republic of Korea. These visits provide invaluable opportunities for students to engage directly with admissions officers, gain insights into university life, and explore specific academic programmes.

Furthermore, TKHC organises visits to local universities, allowing students to experience the academic environment and learn about opportunities within Hong Kong. Collaborating with our Global Classroom team also plays a key role in planning overseas trips focused on university visits, providing students firsthand exposure to international campuses and broadening their understanding of global higher education pathways.
