Ms. Bhavana Shylesh is from India. She completed her undergraduate degree in Botany and postgraduate degree in Biochemistry from The University of Madras, India. She has been living outside of India for the past 17 years, and this is her second stint in Hong Kong. She lived in Hong Kong between 2005 and 2009 before moving to Singapore for a period of 6 years. She then moved back to Hong Kong in 2016.
Ms. Shylesh worked in another international school before joining TKHC. At TKHC, she works as a Science teacher.
She loves music, dancing, and enjoys watching thrillers or movies based on mystery. She also spends time volunteering in her communities.

Previously she has been engaged in study tours for over 10 years, she has experience with first hand practical experience in the business world. This has given her a great perspective on students from around the world and an understanding of how to approach and encourage students in a positive, fun and meaningful manner to prepare them for their studies. She obtained the Outbound Tour Escort Certificate and she is also a Senior Member of Hong Kong Institute of Marketing (SHKIM). Another fun fact is she has visited no less than 100 different cities with primary, secondary and tertiary students!
Acquiring knowledge is essential so she is now pursuing a second master’s degree. In her leisure time, she loves travelling around the world to enjoy coffee everywhere and learn about different cultures.

Teacher of Mathematics
Ms Clarice Cheung comes from a Mathematics background having graduated from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a Computer Science Engineering degree. After years of operating in the computer programming field, she realized her attraction to the field of education. In order to equip herself for her next challenge, she obtained her PGDE from Hong Kong Baptist University. To support her lifelong journey in education, she also completed the Master degree in Teaching Mathematics in International Context from The University of Hong Kong.
Over her 13 years of experience in teaching Mathematics, she has extensive experience in different curricula – IGCSE, IBMYP, IBDP and HKDSE. She likes to engage students in learning Mathematics with games, technology and research. She believes that connecting Mathematics concepts and real-life events can help students develop a fascination with Mathematics. Ms Cheung has never stopped serving students in Pastoral Care matters. She has extensive experience in dealing with student cases across different school settings and has completed Professional Mediator Training in order to equip herself to resolve problems that may arise between students.
Outside office hours, Ms Cheung loves to play with her daughter. She also enjoys outdoor sporting activities ranging from cycling to hiking.
Teacher of Performing Arts (Music)
Dr. Wah Hei Ng grew up in Hong Kong and has played piano and violin since childhood. He received his BA, MMus, and PGDE from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and doctorate in music composition from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. After returning to Hong Kong, he has been teaching IBDP and HKDSE music courses for 12 years and coaching various types of orchestras and ensembles. In addition to teaching, he is also an IBDP examiner and moderator.
As a musician and educator, he enjoys the time interacting with students in the classroom, inspiring and challenging them to embrace different types of music, and hoping that his students will continue to see music making as a hobby after graduation.
Apart from music making and teaching, he also enjoys reading, playing table tennis, learning Japanese and woodworking.
Teacher of Science and Mathematics
Dr. Srivani Billa was born and brought up in India. After completing her masters degree in physics, she began chasing her dreams in the field of research in aeronomy and space physics. She pursued Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and later Doctor of Philosophy (P.hD) from Andhra University, one of the most prestigious universities in India. During her research, she was awarded with a senior research fellowship from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). She also has a good number of research publications in international journals along with participation in several national and international science conferences.
She has more than 5 years of experience in teaching physics for both undergraduate and graduate students. She had worked as a faculty member and also as an assistant professor in the department of physics in various engineering colleges in India. In her free time, she coaches physics to secondary school students and abacus to young children.
Ms Billa believes that students of the 21st century need more than just knowledge. She prioritises authentic learning situations where students learn through solving real-world problems that improves their critical and creative thinking skills in order to continue the learning journey even after they have left the classroom. She helps students understand the connection between what they are learning and life beyond the four walls of the classroom.
When not teaching or reading, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and drawing.

Mr. John Law completed his Bachelor of Education at the University of Hong Kong and started teaching in Hong Kong. He then obtained a Master of Arts in Comparative and Public History at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Mr. Law has taught humanities, Theory of Knowledge, and History over the past 10 years. His roles included being department head, IBMYP Community Project Coordinator, TOK Coordinator, and IBDP Coordinator. He also had experience in leading the Hong Kong Model United Nations team in his previous schools. Mr Law has numerous roles in the IB: he is currently a DP examiner (History and Theory of Knowledge) and also a curriculum review member in DP History. Mr. Law has extensive experience in curriculum development. He once cooperated with local universities to develop a school-based humanities curriculum for other local secondary schools. As a former IB student, Mr. Law loves to share his experience and offer guidance to students if needed.
In his spare time, Mr. Law enjoys cycling, running, and hiking. When not exercising, he enjoys learning new topics in history and philosophy.

Ms. Lavender Chiu has devoted herself to supporting students with learning needs, with a belief that every student could achieve their optimal development and shine if teachers provide them with differentiated education and care. Hence, she has taken up roles in supporting students with special educational needs for five years, including being as a SEN Coordinator for two years. Prior to her teaching IBMYP Individual & Societies, Chinese History and Chinese, Ms. Chiu was a research assistant with interests in inclusive education at Hong Kong Baptist University for more than two years.
Ms. Chiu obtained her Bachelor Degree in Psychology with first class honours and her Master Degree in School Guidance and Counselling at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She completed her PGDE majoring in Liberal Studies from Hong Kong Baptist University with Distinction.
In her spare time, Ms. Chiu enjoys playing guitar, singing, reading and drawing. She also loves exploring how to use art to understand more about oneself and connect with others.

Ms Jessy Ting has a very diverse academic background. Having a Master’s Degree in Education (English Language and Literature) from the National Institute of Education (Singapore), a PGCE from the University of Sunderland, and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, she acts as a bridge between the different subjects and fields. She believes in making the academic subjects relevant to the students by helping them draw links between what they learn in school and the real world. Having a strong background in various subjects, she has successfully helped students with the demanding requirements of academic subjects especially in IGCSE and IBDP – from writing to mathematical skills.
Originally from Singapore, Ms Ting started out teaching in Singapore for 4 years before further pursuing her ambition of teaching internationally in Hong Kong in 2019. She has worked in very competitive environments and renowned international schools in Hong Kong, and this helps her understand the challenges that students face and what it takes to help the students achieve academic excellence in IGCSE and IBDP Economics.
Ms Ting has also taken a great interest in outdoor activities. She has attained Level 2 sports climbing certificate and has been to countries like Thailand and Malaysia for outdoor climbing. Her love for outdoor activities has also brought her to climb the highest mountain in Taiwan and Malaysia, the highest volcano in Indonesia, and a 30-day trek in Nepal where she reached the peak at 5416m.

Ms. Grace Cha obtained a Bachelor’s degree of Education (BEd) in Secondary Mathematics from The Education University of Hong Kong. She also has earned an IB teaching certificate through minoring in Teaching and Learning in International Schools. Ms. Cha is an experienced Mathematics teacher who has taught students from diverse backgrounds.
She was born and raised in South Korea and has education experiences in Thailand and Hong Kong. Her diverse educational experiences have motivated her to work as a teacher. She is confident in helping students to develop their open-mindedness and international-mindedness.
She is interested in developing differentiated teaching methods for students. She hopes her students can enjoy Mathematics learning by discovering the relationship between Mathematics and real-life situations.
Teacher of Physical Education
Mr. Luke Moynagh was born in Cavan, Ireland. He has an undergraduate degree in Community Sports Leadership and is qualified in coaching a variety of sports such as football, rugby, gymnastics and athletics. Mr. Moynagh has more than 8 years of sports coaching experience, including time in Ireland and the USA, where he spent 3 years before moving to Hong Kong.
Mr. Moynagh attained his PGCE in Secondary Education with the University of Sunderland teaching Physical Education. He has a great passion for teaching and seeing students develop to achieve their full potential.
Mr. Moynagh loves Gaelic football, an Irish sport which he plays and coaches. He also enjoys watching and playing football, hiking, and socializing with friends.
Teacher of Performing Arts (Music and Drama)
Ms Lizzie Leung studied for her BA in Music Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University following which she obtained her MA in Music Education and MA in Music (Piano Studies) at University of York, UK. Later, she completed her PGCE with The University of Sunderland. Her early teaching career involved individual piano and theory lessons, and group instrumental teaching for music centres and at primary schools both in Hong Kong and in the UK.
Before joining Tai Kwong Hilary College, she has been teaching internationally in the UK, Shanghai and Hong Kong in both private schools and international schools, and has been teaching various curriculums, including IBMYP, IBDP, IGCSE, A-Level and HKDSE. She likes to spread the joy of playing and sharing music to all students as well as staff, and make music accessible for all.
Outside the classroom, Ms Leung enjoys cooking, watching movies, and attending concerts.
Teacher of Visual Art and Design (VA), Information and Communication Technology
Mr. Rocky Woo graduated from Brigham Young University, Hawaii with a bachelor’s degree in fine art and completed a postgraduate certificate in Education from the University of Sunderland. Mr. Woo has years of working experience at an American international school. He helped develop a visual arts program that is engaging and inspiring, multi-disciplinary, which provides students with the transferable skills and learning disposition that will support their lifelong learning.
Mr. Woo is a passionate artist and enjoys encouraging students in creating art during their free time. He believes a strong art curriculum can provide an environment where children feel safe to be creative, curious and able to make mistakes. He also understands that it is important to build relationships with students both inside and outside of the classroom. He has particular strengths in communicating and being empathetic with students and is keen to pursue this further by involvement in the pastoral curriculum.
In his spare time, Mr. Woo enjoys making art, taking photos, watching movies and spending time with his family.

Ms. Lauren Mullineaux is originally from Manchester in the North of England and studied her undergraduate degree in Journalism and English Literature at the nearby University of Salford. It was there that she found her passion for studying postmodern literature which uses the page in unusual ways and she loves to bring that into the classroom.
She has been in Hong Kong for over eight years and completed her PGCE here through the University of Sunderland, where she is currently also pursuing her Masters in Education. She has been teaching I/GCSE and IB English Language and Literature for more than five years and is looking forward to sharing her passion for the great and unusual world of English with the students at Tai Kwong Hilary College.
In her spare time she enjoys writing, both music reviews and fiction; reading anything and everything she can; watching movies; playing board games and trying as many different foods as possible.

Mr. Samuel Mao holds a Master’s Degree with distinction in Chinese from the City University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Teaching Chinese as A Second Language from Shanghai University. He has many years of teaching experience in both international and local Chinese courses including IGCSE, GCSE, IBMYP, IBDP, and AP. He has taught students from Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Japan. Currently, Mr. Samuel is a teacher of Chinese Language and Chinese History and works as an assistant teacher-librarian at Tai Kwong Hilary College.
Mr. Samuel has always believed that “Positive education brings infinite possibilities” and he holds a serious attitude to inspire the potential of students. Unlike traditional education which just focuses on “knowledge learning”, he emphasizes the cultivation of “beyond knowledge” ability at the same time. From the moment he set foot on the road of education, he has always been dedicated to encouraging students to strengthen relationships, build positive emotions, enhance personal resilience, promote mindfulness and pursue a healthy lifestyle in a happy and active learning atmosphere.
In his spare time, Mr. Samuel loves reading, writing poetry, and watching movies. He has published some of his works in Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Ms Jennifer Horgos has spent 30 years working with teenagers, starting as a youth worker in Vancouver and continuing as an English teacher in Taiwan, mainland China and here in Hong Kong for the past 20 years.
Ms Horgos has a Bachelor of Arts (High Honours) degree in History and Women’s Studies from Carleton University, a Master of Education degree from the University of British Columbia as well as a PGDE from the University of Hong Kong for which she earned a Rowell Prize in Education for highest overall combined grades in theoretical and practical aspects. In 2015, she was part of a team of teachers awarded the Chief Executive’s Award (Merit) for Teaching Excellence in the area of English Language Education. Ms Horgos is the Head of English at TKHC.
Aside from teaching, Ms Horgos is a storyteller, and enjoys writing personal essays and short fiction.

Mr Ken Chinn grew up in Toronto, Canada, and graduated with a diploma in Illustration from Sheridan College (Toronto) and a Bachelor of Graphic Design (Hons) First Class from the University of Huddersfield (United Kingdom), where he was awarded the Best Student Dissertation and the External Examiner’s Prize. Before completing his PGCE at the University of Sunderland (United Kingdom) to become a certified educator, he worked as an Art and Creative Director in the design industry in Toronto, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
For the past 11 years, Mr Chinn has worked with various age groups of students at international school settings, and has previously taught PYP Visual Arts, MYP Design, IGCSE Fine Arts and STEAM Education in Hong Kong. As the Head of Arts and Design at TKHC, Mr Chinn hopes to bring forth an exciting and dynamic curriculum which would enable our students to become global citizens capable of appreciating the arts from across the globe.
In his spare time, Mr Chinn enjoys making art, playing basketball and tennis, hiking, travelling and spending time with his friends, family and pets.

Ms. Jenny Leung obtained her PGDE and an MA degree in English Language Teaching from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and an MFA degree in Drama and Theatre Education at Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
Ms. Leung’s professional interests include the use of technology and drama in education. She believes that it is important to redesign lessons in the 21st century teaching and learning to activate students’ motivation and ability to become a lifelong learner and make them learn happily.
Ms. Leung is currently the Head of 21st Century Learning Design teaching ICT and Performing Arts (Drama and Dance) in Tai Kwong Hilary College, the secretary of FlippEducators@HK, Asia Faculty Member of Flipped Learning Global Initiative, Google Innovator, Google Trainer, Co-leader of Google Educator Group (HK-MACAO) and Apple Distinguished Educator (Class of 2017). She is also one of the frontline teacher professional development partners of Centre for Learning Science and Technologies (CLST) of Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has been awarded the International Outstanding e-Learning Awards for three consecutive years, the top 100 innovative teachers in Greater China and the top 100 Flipped Learning Leaders in K-12 education worldwide.
When she is free, she enjoys travelling with her family, watching films, reading, learning languages, skating and dancing.
